Rewarding those who help you.

Hey guys!

Just wanted to get this out there, because I know have been at the short end of the receiving stick many times and know how it can burn and sting. The thing is simple people reward those who help you. Of course this can refer to any area of help. Something's that come to mind are helping a friend, be it with moving, weekend project, or a professional service that you offer such as photography, web design, computer repair, or whatever your services may be. Again the reward doesn't have to always be monetary, you can offer someone lunch or offer to take them out somewhere to hang out, or barter a service of yours. Of course if your talking about a business contact that has helped out or went out of their way to accomplish their services for you, the reward would most likely always be monetary, as in a tip. Often times people will not expect this from you considering it was their job, etc... but when they do get surprised you can be sure that next time their services are needed you will be treated more like V.I.P. then walk-in customer.

Friends, just don't forget that this is something that goes both ways. Often times its easy for us to just be stuck on the fact that our friend has used us or our services and just expected it to be there for him without any compensation. But try to think of a way to reward those around you that help you as well, because you may be making someone feel just that way as well.

On a side note you obviously do not want to let a relationship, professional or friendship to become abusive from either end. If someone is expecting you to deliver free service on call, you need to let them know in the nicest way that your services are not free, and you need to make time for paying customers.

Well guys, hope this helps you all out in your dealings with others and allows you to grow more pleasant relationships with everyone you deal with. Now, time to go take my own advice ;)

On a side note check out my latest YouTube video about a family vacation I took when I just got my canon 60D camera. Hope you enjoy it. Let me know if you need any information from my photography or video-graphy escapades.
